An El Paso flooring contractor working one city, one surface type
El Paso Flooring Pros is an El Paso flooring contractor installing tile, natural stone, luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, engineered wood and laminate. We do not install carpet, though we remove and haul away your old carpet at no extra charge with any hard-surface job.
Every job starts with a free in-home measurement and a written itemized quote, and you choose whether we source the material at contractor pricing or install material you bought yourself.
Most flooring companies sell you a product. The harder part in El Paso is everything underneath it. Homes here sit on concrete slabs poured over caliche, and caliche moves with moisture more than most soil types. That movement is what cracks tile along the same line every couple of years. Meanwhile the air can go from five percent humidity to forty percent inside a single week, which is what opens laminate seams and cups wood floors.
None of that is exotic knowledge. It is just work that gets skipped, because crack-isolation membrane and moisture-meter acclimation cost time on day one and nobody sees them once the floor is down. Both conditions are public record: soil through the USDA Web Soil Survey, humidity through the National Weather Service in El Paso. We would rather do that work and explain the line item than hand you a lower number and a floor that fails in year three.
About how we work
- Hard surface only
Tile, natural stone, luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, engineered wood and laminate. No carpet installation, ever. It is a specialisation, not a limitation.
- Free carpet removal
Old carpet, pad, tack strips and staples out and hauled away at no extra charge with any hard-surface install. How that works.
- Two ways to buy
Our material at contractor pricing, or labor only on material you already bought. Most quotes hide the material markup. Ours does not, because you pick which side of it you want to be on.
- Everything in writing
Material, labor, prep, demo and haul-away itemized before work starts, with a specific timeline. No verbal estimate that grows.
- Advice against ourselves when it is true
We will tell you laminate is wrong for your kitchen, that solid hardwood over your slab is a bad idea, and that tiling over a floor that is already failing just buries the problem. Every one of those conversations costs us money in the moment.
- English and Spanish

Questions about El Paso Flooring Pros
Why do you not install carpet?
Because doing one thing well beats doing everything adequately. Hard surface is a different set of skills from carpet: slab assessment, crack isolation, moisture control, acclimation, expansion gaps. We do that, all day, in El Paso houses. We remove your old carpet for free and we hand the carpet installation business to someone else.
What makes an El Paso flooring job different?
Two things almost nobody accounts for. Homes here sit on concrete slabs poured over caliche, which expands and contracts with moisture more than most soil types, so slab movement transfers into the floor. And humidity can swing from about five percent to forty percent inside one week, which changes the size of wood and laminate after it is installed. A floor installed to a generic manual written somewhere else fails here for reasons that have nothing to do with the material.
Do you use subcontractors?
Ask us at the estimate and we will tell you exactly who will be in your house. We would rather answer that question directly than put a slogan on a website about it.
Can I buy the material myself?
Yes, and it is one of the two ways we work. Either we source material at contractor pricing and quote one all-in installed price, or you buy your own anywhere and pay us for labor only. Both include the free measurement, the written quote, old flooring removal and subfloor prep.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ask for the details at your estimate and we will provide them in writing along with your quote.
Hablan Espanol?
Si. Hablamos Espanol, por telefono y en su casa, y su presupuesto por escrito se lo podemos explicar en Espanol.
