Fort Bliss families move on orders, not on a contractor calendar. Tell us your report date and we build the install timeline backward from it, including short-notice work for families coming in or shipping out.

Fort Bliss flooring runs on the move calendar. The two things that decide whether it fits inside a PCS window are material lead time and acclimation. Tile and luxury vinyl plank can move fast. Wood and laminate need days in the house before a single plank goes down, because El Paso air is dry enough to change their dimensions after installation.
So the earlier you call, the more materials stay on the table. Call late and the honest answer is often a waterproof plank that can be sourced and installed quickly, rather than the wood you had in mind.
Peak PCS season in El Paso runs through the summer, and it is the same window when every flooring crew in the city is busiest. That is not a reason to panic, it is a reason to get on a calendar early. A measurement costs nothing and it locks in a real date.
Report dates, housing offices and inbound briefings are published on the official Fort Bliss installation site.
We also understand that a report date is not negotiable. If we cannot finish by yours, we say so at the estimate instead of starting a job we cannot finish around your movers.
Getting the old carpet out and hard surface down before the household goods arrive is the cleanest sequence there is. Empty house, no furniture to move twice.
Selling or renting out the house? Hard surface shows better than worn carpet and survives tenants. We can work in the window between movers and closing.
Orders change. Tell us what changed and we will tell you honestly what still fits and what does not.
Report date, closing date or lease start, and when the movers are scheduled. That is all we need to start.
As soon as you have access to the house. We measure, look at the slab and talk about what fits the window.
Itemized price and a specific install window, so you can plan movers and furniture around it.
Old carpet or flooring out and hauled away, slab prepped. Easiest in an empty house.
Floor goes down, then the household goods come in onto a finished surface.
Porcelain tile and rigid core luxury vinyl plank. Both are waterproof, both handle El Paso grit, and both take movers, dollies and dog claws better than wood or laminate.
If the house is one you plan to keep and rent out at the next PCS, that durability is the whole argument. If it is one you will sell, hard surface shows better than carpet that has been through a couple of families.

Improvements you pay for stay with the house. Before you spend money on a floor in a rental near post, get the owner or property manager to approve it in writing. We are happy to send them the itemized quote directly.
We would rather lose the job than start an install we cannot finish before your movers arrive. If the dates do not work for the material you want, we will tell you what does work, or tell you to wait.

Tell us your report date and we build the schedule backward from it. A single room is usually one day once material is on hand, and most whole-home hard-surface projects run two to four days including demo and prep. The two things that add time are material lead time and acclimation for wood or laminate, so the earlier you call, the more options you have.
We can talk through options, materials and rough ranges by phone before you arrive, and we schedule the free in-home measurement for as soon as you have access to the house. We do not give a firm written quote without measuring, because a number that changes after we see the slab is worse than no number.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and we will tell you which. If you own the house and plan to rent it out or sell at the next PCS, hard surface usually pays back at resale and survives tenants better than carpet. If you are renting, talk to your landlord first, because improvements you pay for stay with the house.
Yes, as long as the owner or property manager has approved the work in writing. We are happy to send the written itemized quote directly to them so everyone is looking at the same document.
Yes, and we haul it away, at no extra charge with any hard-surface installation. That is often the single biggest improvement in a house that has been through a few PCS cycles. More about carpet removal.
